Nunavut, Canada Health Care Plan selects 1417WCC DR detectors for its digital imaging upgrade.

Rayence Canada, a division of Rayence USA, in strategic alliance with CMI Calico Medical (Ontario) and Nuon Imaging (Alberta) was awarded a contract Nunavut government digital radiographic detector tender for Rayence 1417WCC panels to be installed at its 23 healthcare facilities in this northern territory. Initial installations begin July 2017 in Iqaluit, the capital city of Nunavut, with all upgrades scheduled for completion by 2018.

Competing against strong DR industry leaders, the Rayence / CMI / Nuon joint RFP was selected as the successful proponent. Rayence will provide all DR imaging hardware and related accessories while Nuon will provide software support along with CMI providing service.

Nunavut, “Our land” in native Inuktitut, comprises most of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and is spread across an area just over 680,000 square miles, roughly the size of Western Europe It is one of the world’s most remote and sparsely inhabited areas having a population of only about 36,000.
